HOW WE WORK
Grace has an integrative approach to counselling. This type of counselling works by drawing on techniques and theories from multiple counselling approaches, tailoring their method to suit the unique needs of each client. Rather than sticking strictly to one model (like cognitive behavioural therapy or psychodynamic therapy), they blend elements from different schools of thought to create a more flexible, personalized approach to therapy.
Some common approaches they might integrate include:
- Person-Centred Therapy: Focuses on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and helping clients access their inner resources.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Helps clients recognize and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
- Psychodynamic Therapy: Explores unconscious processes and past experiences, especially childhood, to understand current patterns.
Collaborative Relationship
- A key principle in integrative counselling is working with the client, not on the client.
- The therapeutic relationship is seen as a central part of the healing process.
- Exploration of childhood or relational patterns
- Thought-tracking and cognitive restructuring
Tools & Techniques
They may use:
- Mindfulness practices

- Behavior change strategies
ADDITIONAL INTERESTS
BODY IMAGE & DISORDERED EATING
Grace uses the intuitive eating philosophy when supporting people with body image and disordered eating patterns. She helps people rebuild a healthy, trusting relationship with food and their bodies—free from diet rules, guilt, and restriction. Their work is rooted in the Intuitive Eating framework developed by dietitians Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, and it’s a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach that focuses on tuning into your body’s natural signals.
FOUNDATION FOR INFANT LOSS TRAINING
Grace has received additional training and is someone who also supports individuals who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby, whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, or termination for medical reasons.
